Actores todos fomos

Entramos na nossa peca.

Another year finished

And another that starts

We were all actors

We all acted in the same play.

Corresponderam aos nossos ideais

Demos Gracas a Deus

Bem poucos foram iguais.

When the good happenings

Corresponded to our ideals

(We gave Grace to) We Praised God

Few were equal.

A familia ainda reunida

Da-nos um raio de Esperanca

No meio das incertezas

A inocencia dum sorriso de crianca

The family still united

Gives us a ray of Hope

In the middle of all the uncertainties

The innocence of the smile of a child

Que o Novo Ano nos Traga

Paz, amor, felicidade

A mesma vida continua

Nas ases duma saudade.

Hope the New Year will bring us

Peace, love, happiness

The same life goes on

On the wings of a saudade.
